Conservation ecology for sustainable wild landscapes.

Acknowledgment of Country.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Kaurna people, the traditional custodians on whose ancestral lands we live and work. We acknowledge the deep relationship of the Kaurna people to Country and we respect their past, present and ongoing connection to these lands and waters, and their cultural beliefs.

About Us.

We study the processes shaping wildlife populations, using fieldwork, empirical data, and modelling to support conservation across diverse landscapes. Our research straddles the interplay of demography, movement and dispersal, genetics, disease, harvesting and predation, environmental variation, and climate change.

Mission Statement.

Our mission is to conduct the research needed to inform conservation strategies and wildlife management practices. We strive to bridge ecological theory and applied conservation, providing the evidence base to support biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural landscapes.

Our Research

Our Research.

Our research investigates the processes influencing wild populations including survival, reproduction, dispersal, genetics, disease, harvesting, natural environmental variation and climate change. We use a mixture of field studies and models to address applied questions in conservation biology and wildlife management.
